Implicit Bias: Reducing Disparities Through Awareness and Self-Assessment

Course Description:

Participants will learn the definition of implicit bias, how it impacts decision making, and why it is important, specifically in regards to students and school settings. Participants will explore their own implicit bias and have an opportunity to reflect and begin to increase their awareness and reduce negative disparities of their implicit bias. Additionally, we will explore how implicit bias can impact mental health outcomes, with a focus on youth.
