Participants will

1. Will gain an understanding of why Military Cultural Competency is important

2. Will learn some basic military knowledge and know how that differs from military portrayed in Hollywood and in the media

3. Gain knowledge of unique challenges your military clients and their families may have or are experiencing

4. Learn the risk factors for military members/families

5. Learn Michigan veteran stats

6. Understand how to gain faster rapport with your military clients and what you can do to help
