Course Description:

Participants will be able to identify myths of autism and be able to define autism spectrum disorders. They will leave with an understanding of the diagnostic process, some possible causes of autism and the current rate of autism. Participants will learn about the sensory, medical and behavioral issues that affect an individual with autism. They will also leave with an understanding of the impact of autism on the family as well as treatment options for children and adults as well as community resources. There is a 45$ fee for this training
