Course Description:
Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a potentially serious sleep disorder in which breathing repeatedly stops and starts and can have a negative effects on day-to-day life. Participants of this course will be able to identify OSA and current treatments, describe the qualifications for patients to receive hypoglossal nerve stimulation, describe the efficacy of the therapy and comparison to other sleep apnea therapies, and discuss follow up care for the patient.
