Course Description:

Trauma informed practice implies a working knowledge of not only what signs and symptoms exist with trauma but also, how trauma impacts brain function, coping, and client well-being.  This session will cover the basics of trauma definition and symptomology, with special focus the impact of multiple adverse childhood experiences (ACES) on brain process and its impact on coping and substance use.
