Course Description:

 Identification of self-management skills and tools that will address anxiety, stress, and pain. The presentation will provide attendees with skills that they can use to educate their clients on how to de-escalate emotional flooding, reduce the flight,flight or freeze response to stress, as well as how to mitigate pain responses. These skills and tools are based on the Autogenic Training Model of Johaness Schultz MD, Edmund Jacobsen's Progressive Relaxation, as well as The Work of Byron Katie.

1. Identification of self-management skill and tools for anxiety, stress, and pain.

2. Attendees will be able to modify the skills and tools presented in order to optimize the effectiveness of the client centered approach to treatment.

3. Attendees will learn how these techniques can be used with all client populations.
