Course Description:

For this Workshop participants will be encouraged to bring their own laptop and/or mobile device as this will be a practice-oriented session). This CE workshop will discuss the following: 1) NASW Code of Ethics with an emphasis on the use of technology in direct clinical and macro practice; 2) The newly released (2017) NASW, ASWB, CSWE and CSWA Standards for Technology in SW Practice; 3) Assessing practice risk potential & liability associated with online practice and 4) Case scenarios related to ethical online social work practice. Hands-on practice with VSee and/or Skype as well as online role-playing using digital devices. Special attention will be focused on the importance of understanding the revised NASW Code of Ethics.  Part II of a 3-Session Cyber Social Work Series.  Participants may take all 3 sessions for a reduced fee.  Those attending all 3 Cyber Social Work sessions are eligible to earn and receive a Cyber Social Work Certificate.
