Introduction to Restorative Practices and Circles

Course Description:

This course will utilize an experiential approach to explore supervision and teaching.  The presenters will share their experiences in supervising and teaching BSW and MSW students and highlight strategies for utilizing supervision to help students make important connections between the classroom and practice.  The CSWE core competencies for field education will be reviewed and provide a framework for discussing ways to integrate theory, policy, and research into field supervision.  Participants will have the opportunity to engage in a group supervision activity to explore and share strategies for balancing teaching and supervision.
