Course Description:
A client suicide is a clinician’s worst nightmare. As anxiety, depression, and self-harm in our youth rise across America at alarming rates, so does the risk of suicide. Understanding and managing this risk is a many-nuanced skill set that is critical to your clinical practice. This workshop will explore risk factors, risk assessment, and safety planning with clients when dealing with suicide risk. Group activities and role plays will be used to help you develop and practice relevant skills in understanding and managing this risk.
