Course Description:

This presentation will provide information on the border children crisis and what social workers need to know to provide services to this population.  Learn the history of this crisis and where we are today given the hostile environment that exists towards immigrants in our country.  Identify what our professional Code of Ethics requires in serving this population.  Develop skills for inteviewing trauma affected children and their families.  Learn the importance of collaboration with community agencies that provide resources and advocacy for immigrant children and families.
