Course Description:

This workshop focuses on "care partnering" techniques and building skills needed for approaching and interacting with persons living with dementia.  It will include an overview of visual changes related to the progression of dementia.  Techniques will include the use of Hand Under Hand™ (HUH) and methods of Positive Physical Approach ™ A) utilizing a supportive stance.  These newly learned skills will enable care partners to interact in ways that reduces potential anxiety triggers for the person living with dementia as well as build care partners confidence.
