Course Description:

This conference will focus on understanding strangulation within the context of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Participants will learn about the lethality of strangulation on domestic and sexual assault victims and how to assess and
document injuries of the assault. Implications for prosecution will also be discussed. This conference is appropriate for social workers, advocates, medical professionals, law enforcement, and attorneys/prosecutors.
