Course Description:

 

Medical marijuana has been legal in Michigan since 2008, however there is still confusion and concern over the role that medical marijuana has in our state. As human service professionals, it is important to develop an awareness and understanding of its benefits to health and pain management. In addition, it is important to understand the role of medical marijuana in substance abuse treatment. In this workshop, you will learn about the benefits and risks of medical marijuana use. You will also define the healing and numbing factors related to use of medical marijuana, especially as they relate to pain management.
