Course Description:
This training will explore the intersection of poverty and mental health by analyzing the historical and current approaches to these complex social problems. The goal of this training is to understand the context in which people that are poor and have mental illness exist, debunk common myths and share social work best practices for this population.
This training will be facilitated by Melanie Carlson, MSW, PhD Candidate in Social Work at Michigan State University
