Course Description:

This workshop is intended for practitioners serving the population diagnosed with complex pain conditions.  Prior to attending this workshop, it is recommended the attendee complete the basics of pain management where the pathophysiological, biopsychosocial and basic pharmacological components of pain management are reviewed.   The workshop will offer break-outs on key components to include in the assessment and care plan for this population, the valued of monitoring and using the state medication monitoring system, and review of alternatives to opioid use for pain management.
