2017 Brain Injury Network of Northern Michigan

  • Haggerty Center at Northwester Michigan College 715 E. Front Street Traverse City, MI 49686 United States (map)

Course Description:

Providers will likely at some point treat a patient with a history of traumatic brain injury that was sustained in childhood or adolescence. This presentation will assist providers in gaining a more comprehensive understanding of differences between brain injuries sustained in childhood and adulthood, the role of the school as a rehabilitation partner, and long-term effects of pediatric brain injury. This information will allow providers to better understand and treat their pediatric patients with TBIs and adult patients with a history of TBI in childhood.
