Improving Outcomes in Obesity Management. Modules A – D
Obesity was classified as a disease by the American Medical Association in 2013, and indeed it has grown like an epidemic in the U.S., with nearly 36 percent of Americans now being obese, according to the CDC. This course will explore the shift from a disease-centered paradigm to a patient-centered approach as it guides CMs on how to help obesity patients set goals—and keep them—in terms of long-term weight loss and healthy weight maintenance. Over four modules it will detail the prevalence and pathology of obesity, as well as the most effective assessments, interventions and care planning.
