Helping Couples Survive Infidelity: Going from Assumed Trust to Earned Trust

  • Live Webinar United States (map)

Course Description:

Discovering a partner has cheated can feel like the end of a relationship to both the couple and to therapist. Many therapists are not trained in helping couples navigate through infidelity recovery and their own countertransference and biases come out. Because trust has been broken within the relationship, couples have to move from assumed trust to earned trust. Research shows that if the couple does the work of affair recovery, the relationship can be even better on the other side. This workshop will provide therapists with tools, information and language to engage the couple to move through the pain and hurt and find their new relationship on the other side.
