Course Description:
Each year the Depression on College Campuses Conference hosts attendees from over 50 colleges and universities from across the nation for a focused review of recent research and practical advances in our understanding of depressive illnesses in college students.
The 2023 conference will explore the benefits and drawbacks of the current hybrid landscape on student well-being. The conference aims to examine how changes in the way students learn and interact can impact connectedness, belonging, and mental health, and how the digital space has influenced treatment delivery while providing new opportunities for innovative prevention programming. Attendees will learn about new research findings, programs, and policies which highlight best practices for supporting college student mental health, including the quality and equity of hybrid models, benefits and drawbacks of increased technology, innovative strategies for preventing illness and promoting thriving, and the role of tele-health in managing increasing demands on counseling centers.
