Course Description:

This is a free training for providers and medical staff seeing patients with potential SUDs. This training will prepare providers to screen for SUDs, refer patients to treatment, and appropriately code & bill for SUD services. The presentations will be followed by a Q&A session.

The objectives are as follows:

(1) Identify and understand how to use SUD screening tools

(2) understand the process for referring patients with likely SUD diagnoses to SUD treatment services

(3) identify accurate SUD diagnostic and billing codes, and understand how and when to utilize such codes
