Course Description:
University of Michigan Addiction Treatment Services will host a monthly discussion to inform and enhance clinical practice through the exploration of topics related to the etiology, prevention, and treatment of addiction. This will bring together individuals from research and clinical areas to foster multi-disciplinary discussion and learning related to substance use disorders. Specifically Dr. Donovan Maust will present on Prescription Medication Misuse Among Older Adults. He will describe the most common prescription medications misused by older adults and help the participants understand whether risk of misuse in their older patients is higher or lower than in their younger counterparts.
