Course Description:
.The current approaches to health care reform take a mostly anhistorical approach. Only presenting the history of what happened can we begin to appreciate how we got here and what needs to change. This presentation will address changing indications for the treatment of apparent death over its 200 year history and explain the history of the fee-for-service model to its embodiment under current procedural terminology. In addition, healthcare professionals will gain an understanding of the changes that occurred after the institution of CPT and the future of medical care in the United States.
