Course Description:

This presentation will provide all health care workers with valuable information on the background and causes of Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia as well as how Dementia relates to COVID-19 and cognitive impairment. In addition, there will be discussion about advances in biomarkers for detecting brain pathology in Alzheimer’s research and developing anti-amyloid immunotherapy for Alzheimer's disease. Immunotherapy against amyloid is presently the disease modifying treatment that substantially reduces the amyloid biomarker.
