Course Description:
This day long training will provide social workers, psychologists, and psychiatrists with opportunities to expand their skills working with LGBTQ+ youth clients. Participants will learn new strategies for addressing the complex mental health needs of LGBTQ+ youth through case discussions and practice-based workshops rooted in intersectionality and cultural humility. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of strengths-based approaches that bolster resilience among LGBTQ+ youth through inclusive and affirming care provision.
