Tools to Improve Navigation Across Basic Needs and Systems, and How to Identify Resources

  • Live Webinar United States (map)

Course Description:

Service providers must negotiate provider systems which are complex, subject to policy and funder influences, and which often are insufficient and may limit access to resources. While service providers might be a specialist in their field or in their own organization, they need to develop a generalist’s perspective in order to meet the myriad, interwoven needs of their clients. This workshop will illustrate the use of Finding Your Way – A Roadmap to Social Systems and Resources in Wayne County, a resource and referral tool that assists service providers in meeting client needs. While the focus of this book mentions Wayne County providers, the content is relevant to representatives across the state of Michigan who serve clients as it describes federal and state funding that form the foundation of many programs and services provided at a local level.
