You Can’t Pour From an Empty Cup: Why Self-Care is Critical for Case Managers and Clinicians

  • Live Webinar United States (map)

Course Description:

Burnout is a word commonly heard in the helping professions. As we know in case management, there are unbelievably rewarding moments; however, there can also be moments of exhaustion, stress, anxiety and other difficulties, especially these days. The COVID-era has brought many new challenges for clinicians. Many of us have witnessed suffering, isolation, the loss of patients or loved ones, along with losing our sense of normalcy, structure, safety and security. When we don’t take the time to take care of ourselves these issues build and can lead to psychological and physical problems, which as we know, not only hurt us but also have the potential to negatively impact our ability to care for clients. In this webinar attendees will deepen their understanding of self-care, learn what the research says about burnout and stress, learn to identify their own burnout symptoms and lastly gain tools and techniques for managing stress and promoting self-care.
