Course Description:

This facilitated book study will focus on anti-racist concepts described in popular literature and their direct application to social work practice. This course will define core concepts necessary for equitable social work practice. Participants will identify the principles and values outlined in the social work code of ethics using an equity lens. Methods for dialogue will be modeled using text from the assigned book for the co-creation of anti-racist strategies and their direct application to macro and clinical practice. Each session will highlight a different book, participants should come to the session having read the book.
