Course Description:

Sexual orientation and gender identity often intersects with other aspects of cancer caregiver identify. LGBT cancer caregivers may experience unique situations as a result of these intersections. This evidence-based course will examine issues LGBT cancer caregivers experience at personal, interpersonal, and systems levels. Topics covered include examples of LGBT caregiving experiences, data about LGBT health and healthcare disparities, and best-practices recommendations for working with LGBT cancer caregivers.
