Family Therapy During a Global Pandemic*

  • Live Webinar United States (map)

Course Description:

Families are at home living under the same roof in a way that no one ever expected. Parents who completed the developmental phase of separating from and launching their college age and adult children, are now living together indefinitely. Old family dynamics are resurfacing and new issues are coming into play. Family of origin challenges including parent/child dynamics, sibling conflicts, triangles, coalitions, and cut offs are resurfacing and showing up in new ways. Adult children returning to the family home and living under the same roof as parents and siblings is not an expected developmental phase in the family life cycle. For many, the global crisis has triggered not only a personal family crisis but also an opportunity and willingness to address unhealed wounds and engage in family therapy as never before.
