Domestic Violence Awareness: Exploring the Power and Control Wheel

Course Description:

Domestic Violence a broad term that incorporates a range of violent, abusive, coercive, destructive, manipulative, psychological, and deceptive behaviors orchestrated to inflict mental, physical, emotional, verbal, isolation, and financial harm, injury, oppression and duress.  Domestic violence (also called intimate partner violence (IPV), domestic abuse or relationship abuse) is a pattern of behaviors used by one partner to maintain power and control over another partner in an intimate relationship.  This workshop will educate and increase awareness on the mental, physical, emotional, psychological and financial components of the “Spokes” within the Power and Control Wheel based the Duluth Model.
