Course Description:

The workshop will focus on what variables to consider when introducing clinical treatment for traumatic stress, and identifying the benefit and drawback to each approach. Basic concepts of EMDR will be discussed, as well as basic concepts of TF-CBT. The workshop will synthesize concepts from attachment theory and family systems. Within the family systems discussion, internal family systems, structural and bowenian theory and their application to traumatic families will be discussed. Finally, the most current research available regarding sleep and burnout will be addressed.
