Course Description:

This course will review the clusters of personality disorders, the biopsychosocial development of each cluster of symptoms, and how addiction correlates with each personality type. The course will explore how treatment can meet the basic human needs of each client for connection, validation, and accountability, and how meeting our basic human needs can heal some of the personality disorder symptomatology.

·         Description of each personality disorder cluster and case examples.

·         Develop an understanding of the biopsychosocial development of each personality disorder.

·         Understand how the therapeutic relationship and treatment approaches can begin to heal symptomatology.
