Course Description:
This ninth annual symposium will provide attendees with information on emerging health care policies, evidenced-based practices and successful partnerships to improve the health of people who rely on Michigan’s health care safety net. Topics will include: creating a path to better health, focusing on vision and priorities; Medicaid and work requirements; public and private overdose prevention initiatives and the critical role of primary care providers; an update on Parkinson’s Disease and safety net resources; innovations in maternal and child health care; innovative approaches to improving social and economic determinants; and The impact of poverty on health.
