Course Description:

Motivational Interviewing, (MI) has been used with a wide range of conditions across all demographics.  In the last several years attention has been directed towards a growing problem in our society, chronic pain management.  This workshop will review the fundamentals of MI and explore recent research on its effectiveness with managing chronic pain.  Examples of MI’s usefulness in working with pain management will be infused throughout.  Prior training in MI is recommended.
