Course Description:
Do you ever feel overwhelmed when trying to link consumers to housing in the community? Are you unsure of how to assess if a consumer is REALLY ready to explore independent housing options? If you commonly ask yourself these questions then this training is for you! This session will give case managers and those working with people in housing crisis a basic understanding of housing options and terms often used in the community as well as useful skills in which to gauge how ready a consumer is to move to a place of their own. Consumers who lack affordable, safe housing often times benefit from an alternate approach to case management and this session will help service providers gain a better understanding of related techniques. There is a $19 charge for this workshop.
