  • Central Methodist Church 215 North Capitol Avenue Lansing, MI, 48933 United States (map)

Course Description:

The 1959 play "Raisin in the Sun" is the story of an African-American family's struggle to get ahead in Chicago. After the performance, there will be a conversation about the play’s relevance to today's society. Universal and distinctly African-American, "Raisin in the Sun" is about family dynamics, race, society and opportunity. It offers a rich basis for discussion. The St. Louis, MO cast is led by an Eastern High School and Albion College graduate.
