Course Description:

Sayida Peprah, PsyD, is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Maternal Mental Health Consultant. She served on the California Maternal Quality Care Collaborative Maternal Suicide Review Committee. Dr. Peprah is a member of the Black Women Birthing Justice Collective and a Collaborative Partner with the Black Mamas Matter Alliance promoting research, education and community-based services to positively transform birthing experiences in the black community.  This lecture will focus on how historical injustices occurring among women of color in the U.S., impact physical and mental health of mothers and children.
