Utilizing the Power of Play Therapy to Treat Child Clients with Anxiety Disorders

Course Description:

Parental divorce or strife, family death, school expectations, primary ADHD symptoms, medical complications, genetic predisposition. This is a small list of triggers for anxiety responses in our child clients, the symptoms of which are individual. This training will enhance your understanding of anxiety in children, provide you with Play Therapy techniques to use with anxious clients, and leave you prepared to support families struggling with how to help their anxious child. All participants are asked to bring a case example (HIPAA compliant, please!), or a personal experience of a time you faced down anxiety in your office or life. Come ready to participate in activities, discussion, and role-plays, while having fun with your peers!
