Course Description:
By the conclusion of the lecture participants will:
1. Describe the construct of resiliency
2. Explain what creates and maintains resiliency
3. Discuss the best practice for helping clients/patients increase resiliency
4. Identify new evidence-based knowledge about resiliency formation and maintenance
Applicable to Social Work Practice:
Resiliency is a major factor in maintaining and restoring mental and physical health. Many factors can erode resiliency, especially trauma. Understanding the key components of resiliency and how it can be taught and strengthened is of high importance in patient care.
