Course Description:
As Integrated Healthcare slowly becomes the model of service delivery across Michigan, it is important that social workers be prepared to work in integrated settings. Healthy Hearts will help participants understand the intricacies of maintaining good heart health and strategies helping consumers work toward this goal. Participants will learn about cholesterol and blood pressure management as it applies to consumers of behavioral health services. Risk factors and common treatment approaches, including healthy lifestyles and diets will be addressed. Monitoring and coordination of care recommendations will be discussed. There is a $19 charge for this workshop that includes the presentation and materials. Registration is required.
