Course Description:
In Kalamazoo County, families, youth, community leaders, staff from mental health, juvenile justice, education, child welfare and primary care health have been working toward transforming the way services and supports are developed and provided for over 20 years. This effort was expanded in 2005 when our community received a six-year 9-million dollar SAMHSA grant to further develop and expand our system of care work. In 2015 we were awarded an additional 4 million dollar SAMHSA System of Care Expansion grant.
Today, the system of care continues to evolve. The 7th Annual Kalamazoo Wraps System of care Conference will strengthen the foundation created over the past 20 years and continue building the framework for our on-going efforts to empower family and youth voice, strengthen interagency partnerships, maximize resources, and create a highly skilled workforce.
