Understanding Trauma Reactive Anger and Violence in Adolescents

  • Eastern Michigan University 101 Everett L. Marshall Building Ypsilanti, MI 487197 United States (map)

Course Description:

One of the most challenging aspects of working with adolescents is understanding how some became violent and rageful  but are unable to discuss the precipitents of their anger. Many of these adolescents are trauma reactive but are not diagnosed because of the ways that trauma manifests differently in them than adults.  This workshop seeks to identify trauma reactive anger in adolescents and provides information about promising treatment modalities.
