Course Description:

In this workshop we will share lessons learned from working with hundreds of adoptive, kinship and guardianship families, some whom had once been at risk of disruption and dissolution of their adoptions. While adoptions are generally successful, many families face will face disappointment and potential disruptions without effective education and support. Learn useful strategies to improve relationships with families, knowledge and accessibility to quality community based post-adoption services, and skills to facilitate parent lead/agency supported support groups.
