Legal and Ethical Considerations in Domestic Abuse Screening

Course Description:

This workshop is an overview of the more subtle forms of domestic abuse. It takes a look at women who abuse, child abuse, and elder abuse. You will be introduced to a screening tool for you to use. You will discuss the importance of safety planning and how to work through a potentially dangerous assessment. In addition, you will discuss the specific ethical dilemmas and how the revised NASW Code of Ethics can help guide you when working with domestic abuse.
