Course Description:

Who do you see when you are providing services for families of children with disabilities, and who aren’t you serving? Families of children with disabilities experience greater levels of multilife stressors, and cultural misunderstandings often times contribute to this stress. Designed to increase awareness and skill, this workshop will prepare you to identify personal, professional, organizational, community, and systemic barriers that often restrict the full potential of ethnically diverse families. There will be a special focus on families from a Latin American background.
