Course Description:

Pain:  This presentation will teach about the psychological challenges faced by people with chronic pain  It will help providers to understand interpersonal interaction patterns that promote and hinder mental and physical health in people with pain.  It will help providers recognize ways to respond when one is accused of professional misconduct.

Ethics: This presentation will teach providers to have a better understanding of the historical roots of psychological ethics and an appreciation for positive ethics approach to resolving conflicts. It will also cover the basic process for pursuing ethical complaints and appreciate the steps to resolving ethical dilemmas.  It will teach providers to recognize ways to respond when one is accused of professional misconduct in the course of a forensic consultation and understand how to take proactive steps to avoid these situations.
