Course Description:

The hour discussion will focus on the ever growing percentage of calls for service related to mental health and substance misuse.  EMS is functioning on the same fundamental design that it has for decades, while calls for service have shifted.  So who drives the change in the delivery of pre-hospital emergency services?  Who funds the delivery of services that are preventative and not emergent?  This discussion will explore come possible outcomes from different choices made by a community.
