Course Description:

These are certainly some chaotic times we are living in. No matter your political leanings, just trying to survive the day of polarized viewpoints, rigid ideals, heated arguments, and avoidance of those on the 'other side,' it is easy to feel stressed, anxious, even hopeless. Social workers, and other professionals, are in a unique position to influence this current climate of struggle by promoting compassion and flexibility in our clients, communities and ourselves. This workshop will include micro and macro tools that can be utilized to promote more psychologically flexible responses to life's challenging experiences...and create opportunities for connection and growth.
