Course Description:

This course provides a working knowledge of the eligibility rules of the Medicaid long term care program and Medicaid waiver program.

It discusses factors which help qualify a candidate; as well as factors which may disqualify or delay applicants from receiving Medicaid benefits. It touches on the concepts of month of application, assets and income, spousal allowance, spend down, divestment, asset protection and post-death estate recovery.
