Is that document "legal"? A review of capacity to take legal actions by older adults.

  • Michigan Law Education Service Center 17436 College Parkway Livonia, MI, 48152 United States (map)

Course Description:

This course will review the legal standard to determine if a person has capacity to execute a legal document. We will compare that to the level of incapacity needed to appoint a guardian/conservator. Finally we will review the related concepts that may defeat a legal act of a person with capacity: undue influence, coercion and fraud
